My Korean Drama Ranking

I started watching Korean Drama in early 2009. So far, as I remember, I already complete watching 28 Korean  Drama. There are about 11 KDrama that I have not being able to finish watching it because of my busy daily life. But all the drama left me a good impression even though I’m only watching it halfway. I will exclude all the 11 KDrama mentioned above from my KDrama Ranking Chart to make it fair. 

Here’s my ranking: (IN ORDER)

1. The 1st Shop Of Coffee Prince @ Coffee Prince (2007) 

 

My first korean drama.. Yoon Eun Hye did a great work.

2. Full House (2004) 

So sweet. I love the chemistry between Rain & Song Hye Kyo. After complete watching this drama, it make me addicted to kdrama...

3. My Girl (2005) 

I enjoyed this drama the most. There’s a moment where I laugh loudly because of the funny actions by Lee Dae Hee. I start to know Lee Dong Wook & Lee Jun Ki from here. Then I start searching all of LDW & LJK drama...

 

4. Playful Kiss (2010)

I really LOVE this drama because of the interesting plot & at the same time because of Kim Hyun Joong as main cast. I also a fan of SS501. This drama is the adaption from a manga. That’s why I like this drama even more. I already read the manga and watch the Taiwanese remake drama. But for me, I still prefer Playful Kiss.. 

5. Boys Over Flower (2009) 

This is Kim Hyun Joong’s first drama. This is the first time I cry so much in kdrama. The scene between Goo Joon Pyo and Geum Jan Di  at a bridge in Macau (forgot the episode) is the most sadness moment in BOF. I cry lots when GJP told GJD that she is like a rusty that he can’t erased. Sorry if it is not accurate because I have watched it long time ago.

6. Spring Waltz (2006) 

Awesome story with many great actors and actress. I started to like Han Hyo Joo as my favourite actress since this drama. The story line for the first few episodes is a bit slow. Then the story started to get interesting..

7. Shining Inheritance (2009) 

For the first time I watch kdrama with different line story. This story revolved about inheritance.  I think this is a good drama although it has 28 episodes. Usually I only watch kdrama with 16 episodes only. This drama also makes my eyes teary... 

8. My Name Is Kim Sam Soon (2005) 

This drama is awesome with some funny and sad scene. I like Kim Sam Soon (Kim Sun Ah) spirits. I also like the way Kim Sam Soon handled her ex-boyfriend, Min Hyun Woo (Lee Kyu Han) who intending to win her back after she got dumped. It proves that she is not an easy woman...

9. Witch Yoo Hee (2007) 

Watching this drama makes me become hungry. You will be able to full your stomach just by looking to the various types of delicious cuisines. Han Ga In looks still goddess with her black suit for the first few episodes in this drama. After she got transformed by Chae Moo Ryoong (Jae Hee), she looks absolutely cute and pretty. The scene when she go to her reunion after get fully makeover by Moo Ryoong is my most favourite scene. I like how Moo Ryong pulled her rubber band to make her hair untied.. 

10. What Happened In Bali (2004)

Another sad and tragic kdrama. Sometime love can become scary. The drama started with a peaceful storyline then it turns to be sad when the 3 main casts trapped in a love triangle relationship. The ending of the story turn to be tragic when Jung Jae Min (Jo In Sung) lost his balance of mind and shot Lee Soo Jung (Ha Ji Won). Then he commits suicide. That’s why the drama is given such a name. I bet because of their first meeting was in Bali in a happy time and a tragic incident happened to them at the end of the story when all of them return to Bali.

11. Time Between Dog And Wolf (2007) 

Awesome fighting scenes and another drama with Lee Jun Ki. The story motive is to find the murder of Lee Soo Hyun (Lee Jun Ki)’s father. What the most surprised is that murder turn out to be Soo Ji Woo (Nam Sang Mi)’s father. This drama also has a complicated love relationship between Lee Jun Ki, Nam Sang Mi and Jung Kyung Ho.

12. Green Rose (2005)

The best suspense korean drama. I do not really like the first 8 episode because it is a little boring. It is really hard for me to past these 8 episodes. But I still endure it to make sure I don’t miss the story line. Then in episode 9, the story started to get interesting after Lee Jung Hyun (Go Soo) goes back to Korea to claim back his life under different name. He is one of my favorite actor..

13. If In Love, Like Them (2007) 

Another short Korean drama. It only has 4 episodes but I still can enjoy the story. But I heard that this story was banned in Korea due to various violations reasons. This story makes my hurt aches so much. Lee Hyo Ri played as Lee Na, who found out she had leukemia. This is my first time seeing Lee Hyo Ri acting.

14. Personal Taste (2010)

Great story. I bet Lee Min Hoo’s fans must be very happy because they got to see him acting. I can say he really did a great work although I’m not really his fan. Seulong from 2AM also starred in this drama. I like how the director of this drama makes the story become more and more interesting from each episode. You will become addicted to this drama once you watched it. I recommend this drama to anyone who wants romantic-comedy drama..

15. Oh! My Lady (2010)

 

 

I really enjoyed this story. Choi Si Won did a great work although this is his first acting in drama. Chae Rim looks a bit older in the drama but I think the character of Yoon Gae Hwa is definitely suitable with her. She’s really a talented actress. Ye Eun, Sung Min Woo’s daughter is definitely a cute kids...

16. The Snow Queen (2006)

Love this romance drama. This drama also makes me sad. Sung Yu Ri is really beautiful. The fact that I really hate when the heroine in the drama need to die because of diseases.

17. Let's Go To The Beach (2005) 

Fantastic. I like this drama because it is different than another drama. This drama focused on lifeguards working on a beach one summer. It feels really different when I watched it. For me, lifeguards job is not an easy job because they need to risky their own life for others. Same with other jobs who works for society to protect them..

18. Tree Of Heaven (2006) 

 

A very touching drama. Another Lee Wan’s drama. I like how both of the main casts interact with each other using 2 different languages. I start to like Park Shin Hye from this drama. This drama makes me hold my tears...

19. Hanoi Bride (2005)

Such a good drama with only 2 episodes.  I get to watch Lee Dong Wook again.. ^ - ^

20. Taste Sweet Love (2004) 

Sweet drama. This drama is quite old but it’s good. Kim Jung Hwa really did a great work. It takes time to see Ma Young Hee transforms into a beautiful girl. But I really hate when her best friend Han Jin Woo (Yeon Jung Hoon) who she has been in love since high school finally realize her love for him. At that time she already likes another person, Han Sun Woo (Lee Wan). It seems like Han Ji Woo realize it after she’s become pretty. What if she doesn’t become pretty? Will he realize it? Glad to see the story ending well...

21. My Love Patzzi (2002) 

 This drama was aired on 2002. The story somewhat like Korean version of Cinderella. I like Jang Nara tomboyish character. 

22. She Is Nineteen (2004)

This story is ok for me. But I like the theme song for this story. It fits the story..

23. Thank You (2007) 

  

I just finished watch this story. This story makes me sad every time I watched it..

24. Save The Last Dance For Me (2004)

 

I think this is a melodrama. But I’m glad Eun Soo (Kim Yoo Jin) slowly learning to walk again with Hyun Woo’s (Ji Sung) assistance in the end of the drama..

25. Que Sera Sera (2007) 

This drama shows lots of issues like emotional abuse and sometimes, you can even buy love. The story can become serious sometime. Now Lee Kyu Han becomes one of my favorite actors..

26. 1% Of Anything (2003)

  

This story is quite ok for me. It takes times for me to finish the series with 28 episodes.

27. 9 Ends 2 Outs (2007)

 

This drama is using the baseball theme to compare to the fates and lives of the people in love.

28. Summer Scent (2003) 

A heart warming drama...

That’s all. Thanks for those who spent their time on my Korean Drama’s Ranking. The top 15 above from my ranking are the most favourite kdrama for me. I have watched it for several times for each drama. Right now I’m going to continue watch kdrama because there are still lots of great story that I have not seen yet like You’re Beautiful, Mary Marry Me, The Fugitive Plan B and more. Although all the series have ended, I still want to watch it.
